True African History Membership
There’s something missing in the story we’ve been told about Africa.
Year after year, from Kenya to Ghana to South Africa, the pattern repeats itself: broken governments, foreign aid dependence, rising debt, and leaders who speak of “sovereignty” while signing contracts written in Washington, Paris, or Beijing.
You’ve probably heard the slogans:
- “Africa has so much potential.”
- “We just need better leaders.”
- “The future is African.”
But if you’ve looked around, really looked, you know that something doesn’t add up. Fifty-four countries can’t all be struggling for the same reasons without a deeper explanation.
That’s what this project is about.
True African History is a membership platform for people who want to understand how we got here — and where we go next.
What You Get as a Member
When you become a member, you get immediate access to a growing library of serious, evidence-based reports that expose how Africa has been structured to fail — and who benefits from that failure.
Some of the titles currently available include:
- Egypt Is a Vassal State — the political economy of dependency and debt
- Post-Apartheid South Africa: A Zombie Vassal State — what really happened after 1994
- Senegal’s Offshore Surrender — a $10 billion gas deal that says it all
- Is Ghana Free? — from cocoa to oil to IMF chains
- Ethiopia: From Resistance to Reliance — the quiet capture of a sovereign symbol
These reports are not shallow opinion pieces. Each one is tightly written, thoroughly sourced, and designed to be intellectually useful — for activists, students, researchers, or anyone who is trying to make sense of post-independence Africa.
You’ll also get:
- Private, members-only videos that break down key topics in a clear, structured format
- A free copy of the upcoming book Colonial Education: How the Classroom Became a Cage, which will be sold to the public but included for all members
- All future reports and media, added regularly
- Full download access — keep the materials forever
Why This Matters
This is not an academic project. It’s personal.
Like many Africans, I grew up hearing that our countries had “potential.” But year after year, I watched that potential being squandered — or stolen.
This project is my attempt to understand why. To document what I find. And to share it with others who are also looking for answers.
You don’t have to be a historian or a political scientist. You just have to be curious enough to ask:
What really happened to us?
If you’re looking for easy optimism or empty slogans, this is not the place. But if you want to go deeper — if you want to start seeing through the surface — then you are welcome here.
Even a simple YouTube video exploring these ideas drew the comment:
“Great video. I subbed.”
There are more people looking for answers than you think.
